The Department of General Surgery has been running postgraduate course since 2009. The department comprises of four units, functioning 24x7 of the week. The department provides excellent patient-care services and performs various sophisticated surgical procedures. The main emphasis is on imparting extensive theoretical and practical training to the undergraduate and junior residents. Undergraduate students are trained by seniors and Assistant Professors who believe that clinical observation and practice shape the skills of their students. Research publications in this department have grown tremendously over the past few years. The department has well-equipped operation theatres with all modern amenities, specialty clinics and special services for patients.
